Inviting a caretaker

Care is shared, so tracking should be too. lindly lets you bring everyone who looks after your child onto one Home — and it gives you fine control over what each person can see. Here’s how to add someone.

1. Open your Home settings

Tap the baby avatar in the top-left of any screen to open settings, then switch to the Home section. This is where members, invites and access grants live. Only a Home’s owner and parents manage membership.

2. Send an invite

Invite someone by link or email. They’ll join your Home once they accept — they don’t need an account yet; they can create one when they open the invite.

3. Choose the role

lindly has two roles, and the difference matters:

• Parent — full access to the Home: every child, and the ability to invite others, manage access, and export data.
• Caretaker — a grandparent, nanny, or daycare worker who helps with specific children. Caretakers log and view events, but they don’t get the whole Home automatically, and they can’t export data or reports.

4. Grant per-kid access to caretakers

This is the part that sets lindly apart. When you add a caretaker, you grant them access to specific kids — not your entire Home. If your nanny looks after your younger child but not your older one, grant exactly that. You can adjust a caretaker’s grants at any time from the Home settings, and every change is recorded, so “who gave the nanny access to which child, and when” is always answerable.

Parents, by contrast, see every child in the Home by default.

5. They accept and start logging

Once your invitee accepts, they’re in. Anything they log for a child they can access appears on the shared timeline in real time, on everyone’s device — and anything you log shows up for them just as fast. No more “did you already feed her?”
