These are the terms for using lindly — in plain language. They sit alongside our privacy summary, which covers how we handle your data.

Accepting these terms

You accept these terms in the app, when you set up your account — onboarding asks you to agree before you create your Home. If you don't agree, please don't use lindly. When the final, legally-reviewed terms are published, continuing to use the app will mean you accept those.

What lindly is

lindly is a mobile and web app for tracking an infant's day — feeding, diapers, sleep, and activities — on one shared, real-time timeline across the people who care for your child. You log events; lindly records, syncs, and summarizes them.

Not a medical device, not medical advice.lindly is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. Where it shows things like growth curves, it shows where your child's logged measurements sit — it never tells you what to do about them. It is a record-keeping and coordination tool, not a substitute for your pediatrician or professional medical judgment. Always rely on a qualified professional for health decisions.

Your account

  • Start on your device, no email needed. On the app you can start tracking right away — lindly creates an account tied to your device, without asking for an email or password up front.
  • Confirm an email to secure it. Confirming an email address — via a link we send you — is what lets you invite other caregivers and gives you a way back into your account from another device. Until you confirm, the account lives on the device you created it on; if you lose that device before confirming, you may lose access to it. You can add a password after confirming, as a backup way to sign in.
  • Keep your access to yourself. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in — your device, your email link, your password — to yourself. Invite others through lindly's sharing rather than by handing over your login.
  • You're an adult acting for the child. lindly is for parents, guardians, and the caregivers they invite. The children tracked in it can't agree to anything themselves — you use lindly on their behalf, as someone with the authority to do so.

Using lindly responsibly

Use lindly for what it's for — caring for and coordinating around your own child. Please don't:

  • track a child you have no right to track, or invite yourself into a Home you weren't given access to;
  • try to break, overload, or probe the service, or get at data that isn't yours;
  • use lindly to break the law or to upload content you have no right to share.

We may limit or end access that abuses the service or puts other people's data at risk.

Your data & privacy

How we store and handle your family's data — hosted in Switzerland, no ads, no data sold, free export — is covered in our privacy summary. It's part of the deal for using lindly; please read it alongside these terms.

Ending your use, and erasure

You can stop using lindly at any time. Deleting your account hard-deletes your personal data — not just hides it (see the privacy summary for how erasure works). We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken or where we have to for legal or safety reasons.

The service as it is

lindly is provided as-is, and we can't promise it will never have downtime, bugs, or gaps. It's a helpful record, not a guaranteed one — don't rely on it as your only copy of something that matters, and never as a source of medical guidance. The precise legal wording of the limits on our liability is part of the formal terms still under legal review.

Changes & questions

The full, legally-reviewed Terms of Service will be published before launch, and we'll flag material changes. Until then, this draft reflects our genuine intent and the decisions already made about how lindly works.
