lindly is built around a Home — a shared space that holds your kids and everyone who cares for them. Setting it up takes about five minutes, and once it’s done, every parent and caretaker you invite logs to the same timeline. Here’s the whole flow.
1. Create your account and your Home
Open the app (on your phone or the web — it’s the same account either way) and sign up. The first thing you’ll create is your Home. Give it a name your family will recognize — your surname works well. You’re the owner, which means you can invite others and manage access later.
2. Add your baby
Add your first child with their name and birthday. The birthday matters more than you’d think: lindly uses your baby’s age to pick sensible defaults — for example, the age-appropriate thresholds behind reminders. You can also record a middle name, time of birth, and birth measurements (weight, length, head circumference), which are saved as your baby’s first growth entry. Everything except the name is optional; add what you have and move on.
Have more than one child? You can add more kids to the same Home at any time.
3. Log your first event
From the home screen, the quick-log bar sits pinned at the bottom with the most common actions. Tap Diaper to open the slider sheet — set wet and dirty each from none to lots — and save. That’s a logged event, on the shared timeline, timestamped and attributed to you.
Bottles work the same way (tap Bottle, set the amount), and every event is editable later if you tap it in the activity list.
4. Start a running timer
Sleep and breastfeeding aren’t forms — they’re timers. Tap Sleep to start a nap; the home screen shows a running timer for as long as your baby is asleep, and anyone in the Home sees the same live timer. Tap stop when they wake. The same works for breastfeeding and outside time.
5. Check the home screen
Head back to the home screen (“For you”). You’ll see a status card for each child — last feed, last diaper, asleep or awake, and today’s counts — plus a recent-activity strip of everything that’s been logged. This is the screen you’ll glance at most: the “how are they doing right now” answer, at a glance.
That’s the core loop. Next, invite a caretaker so you’re not the only one logging.
